Well, lovely weather all round as we come to the end of our Easter break.
Started last week at Petruth Paddocks, beautifully nestled in a Valley overlooked by Cheddar Gorge. Walking distance into Cheddar, quiet and early season, so Jules and his team at Petruth are getting ready for the Big Bang. Facilities therfore pretty basic. The onsite shop is open and stocked, the Coffee Shack open Saturday and Sunday mornings only. Bacon/Breakfast bar as yet not operational. We like the space and the vibe (came last summer also) and the fire arrangements (They supply the pit, lighteners, kindling and dried logs).
Our mates Ken and Caroline pitched up to join us, and we had trips to Cheddar, Weston Super Mare, Wells (a wonderful scenic and unspoilt gem) and nearby AxBridge (with it's beautiful Medaeival town centre).
Plenty of decent walks with the dogs (Joe, Molly, Maisie and Olive) and lots of great beer, cider and food at the local pubs. Going back in July
