Another quiet day in the sun.
Too hot to march the dogs in the day, so early beach walk, a bit of maintenance around the van and car, and another disappointing Ascot result.
We went to look at some lodges after lunch at the van, just to get an idea of what's going on with the pricing and siting etc.
Then we had the chance to go and search for the sunken Church on Penhale Sands, which is a beautiful mazy sand-dune walk towards the beach. Enjoyed the walk, did not find the Church (St Pirans Oratory-engulfed by sand in the 10th Century). We are going back today to find it, as I know we were really close!
On Perranporth beach yesterday morning there was buzzing activity. (Sun shining, tide half out) There were loads of surfers, wild swimming clubs, yoga and plenty of dog walkers. Absolutely delightful.
Following the Church walk-Dinner in the Seiner Arms with their Seafood Specials and watched the sun set from the terrace while the full tide ebbed out.
Our last day here today, we have already people trickling in for the weekend, then ready to start packing up and setting off towards Woolacombe.
In a minute we are going back down to Holywell before it gets too hot. That walk and beach is stunning and the dogs love it.
