On the canal

Alright Campers?

Well the trip is now over...

So now I'm going to continue to blog-and these blogs for your edification and delight will include trips, films, football (specifically Oxford United)! canals, beer, countryside, gardening, fish, annoying TV programmes, art, poetry, music (mainly 70's rock) and much more...

Today we met up with the famous artist and poet Gommie (co-incidentally our son), who took up a canal narrowboat one year ago, and was happy to see his progress as he embraces the lifestyle whilst painting and making poems.

What a great site he has found, Lower Heyford, with a fine boatyard, narrowboats for hire and a perfectly picturesque narrow canal that wends its way through the Oxfordshire countryside. Bloody lovely!

Nice Lunch at the Turnpike, and now writing up me notes while watching In Bruges-

second time and still funny as hell!

Narrow-boating and walking canals immediately makes your life so calm-the laid back style and scenery and the lazy movement of the water, the fellow boaters all at such a relaxed and sedate pace. It's a great feeling.
