Royal Caribbean Norwegian Cruise

Why Cruise?

Well as I have said, we have done it before and enjoy it! It's also a break from the dogs and a holiday that is with differing destinations every day.

I saw this one advertised on the Internet and advertised as;

"The Incredible No-Fly 2022 Norwegian Fjords 5 Day Flash Sale"

"Cruise from only £799PP"

"Free On Board Spend of up to $150"

"Just a deposit required then nothing to pay until 2022"

"Including gratuities and with Anytime Dining"

So-'No Fly'-this is brilliant ! 1.5 hours from home, dropped off by Corine and straight onto ship! Holiday starts straight away!

'From £799' Beware! This is the starting price. If you were lucky and there were still spaces available, you could have picked up at this price, but bare in mind an inside cabin has four walls and no portholes or windows. So immediately you start searching for outside cabins (with no obstructed view), but more than likely, you will move your search on to 'Balconies'. This makes sense as you have a large airy cabin with sliding patio doors onto you own balcony, a view from the cabin and a lovely place to sit quietly outside as the world, the waves, and the scenery slides by.

So your £799PP quickly becomes £1199PP

Here's how it adds up, from 4PM on your first Sunday until 8AM on the returning Sunday.

Balcony cabin at £1199 PP = £2398.00

Clear view £ 154.00

Drinks Package Offer x1. £735.00

Drinks Package x2 Half Price £368.00

Taste of Norway Flam trip. £520.00

Pulpit Rock adventure. £245.00

Total £4420.00

Didn't include

Spending money on trips. £800.00

Internet £22.55 PP Per day. £315.00-Couldn't do it, too expensive;

Car Parking N/A as we had the lift

So to be honest, I expected the expense.

But we do drink, and we like our comforts, so there are the costs!

If we didn't drink, and we went inside we could have saved a blooming fortune!

Cruise? Yes definitely, but only on a smaller ship!

Would we visit Norway again? Yes on our own steam and probably in a Motorhome.

The stunning scenery of Norway is amazing, the photo opportunities limitless, and I have to say my hike up to Pulpit rock and back was the most challenging and rewarding thing that I have done for years!

Only fair that I mark as I did for the other holidays;

Summary; Brilliant experience, slightly ragged by too many people, being overcharged for

everything and a terrible let down by the food in the main Restaurant.

But Norway rocks!!
